The Forte Albertino of Vinadio hosts "Montagna in Movimento" ( Mountain in Motion); a museal itinerary that through sounds, voices, images and multimedia installations introduces the visitor to the world of the Southern Alps, characterised throughout the course of history by a continuous and fruitful comings and goings, a point of departure and arrival of people, ideas, arts, trades, goods, innovations.
About forty interactive and synchronised video settings, more than sixty video programmes, mark the exhibition tour and are divided into six thematic areas: Intro, The Alps at the Centre, Environment and Territory, Man and the Alps, Crisis of a Civilisation, Frontiers of the Future. Some of the objects proposed in original or copy form a sort of material symbol of the various topics treated. The images and testimonies have been collected in the Po, Varaita, Maira, Grana, Stura, Gesso, Vermenagna and Pesio valleys, without forgetting the connections with the French side.
