ARGENTERA – Maddalena Hill and Lake

The Maddalena Hill represents the last bastion of the valley and, because of its importance as a travel hub, a fundamental element of the landscape-passage to the “Oltralpe”.
Travelled since ancient times, it has always been a corridor of cultural, linguistic and commercial exchange, as well as a focal point for logistical and military operations. A few kilometres from the summit of the hill there is a small pond that takes the name of Maddalena Lake.
Surrounded by gentle green meadows and served by a dining facility open in the summer, this corner of the valley is an excellent destination for a Sunday trip in which to enjoy its almost uncontaminated beauty beyond the coolness guaranteed by the altitude.
