The Sanctuary of Saint Anna of Vinadio, the “Colle della Lombarda”, the “Colle della Maddalena” or evem the “Vallone dell’Arma” that leads to the “Colle di Fauniera”, where a statue celebrates the endeavour that in 1999 saw Marco Pantani conquer the Pink Jersey at the “Giro d’Italia”.
These names are enough to evoke the importance that the Valley has for road cycling enthusiasts. In facts, with its peak and roads, the Stura Valley is the ideal place to practice this sport, the different events that take place on our territory – the numerous stages of the “Giro d’Italia”, the “Gran Fondo Fausto Coppi” - increase the charm of our roads that bring fatigue on two wheels beyond the threshold of 2000 meters above sea level.
Our invitation is to come and discover us on two wheels, whether you are sports experts or simple enthusiasts, because we are sure that with the slow charm of this vehicle you can discover hidden corners that might otherwise escape you. Of course, the Valley people and the cycling leaders are at your disposal for any information or advice... what are you waiting for?
