Moiola / Must do

Moiola represents an important junction for the many forest tracks that run along the lower valley, going into the dense chestnut woods that dominate this valley part. From a hiking point of view the council territory is particularly fascinating between late autumn and the first half of spring, when along easy paths you can witness the drowsy awakening of uncontaminated nature; in summer the shade of the woods offers the calm and the refreshment of the many springs that flow into the territory; in winter these paths are easily walkable with the use of snow rackets.
It is certainly worth visiting the beautiful “Vallone dei Colli” which clambers behind the town along the road which crosses the town square next to the brook. Another beautiful walk is the one that leads from the residential zone (“Via dell’Incoronata”) to the Chapel of Our Lady of the Assumption and not very far from the Panchina Gigante which you can enjoy a wide view of the head of the “Vallone dei Colli” beyond which the top of the Tagliarè peak. On the slopes of this mountain develops the Bike Park Tajarè, with its 120 km of roads, paths and dirt roads of the council territories of Moiola, Gaiola, Valloriate, Rittana and Roccasparvera.
