Vinadio / Must do

Vinadio represents an excellent starting point for practicing excursions that leads to the discovery of some of the most suggestive valleys of the area (Rio Freddo, Sant’Anna, Bagni di Vinadio, Neraissa...), characterized by extraordinary ever-changing natural environments made of waterfalls, lakes, streams, grassy expanses, mule tracks, balcony paths, remains of fortified works and other wonders. From Vinadio you can access two of the most suggestive alpine climbs, the one at “Colle della Lombarda” (2350 m), an alpine pass on the border between Italy and France, and the one at the Sanctuary of Sant’Anna (2035 m), the highest in Europe, very popular destinations, especially by hikers and the most passionate cyclists.

You can also admire the Giant Bench which is located in San Bernolfo beyond Bagni di Vinadio just below the beautiful Dahu del Sabarnui Refuge, easy to find.

In the winter season the village is a reference point for Nordi skiing lovers: at the suggestive Bagni di Vinadio locality is active the Strepeis Fund Center, including about 20 km of slopes of different levels of difficulty that wind along woods and breath-taking landscapes. Some of the best-known ski mountaineering trails also depart from this location.

Inside the suggestive setting of the Albertino Fort, in the lower part of the village, there is an ice-skating rink of 1200 square meters.
