The Lou feracaval Museum in Demonte is an old farrier's workshop that continued to operate until the 1970s.
The Museum opened in 1995 in the old farrier's workshop of Renato Borelli with the intention of documenting a work that has now disappeared, important when all agricultural activity and transport involved the use of horses, mules and donkeys. Recently, the exhibition was moved to the municipality's buildings.
The displayed equipment belongs to the Mountain Community and the Demonte town, which purchased it to avoid its dispersion; thanks to an important number of tools of the craft, the museum makes it possible to reconstruct the main activities carried out by the farrier to support all the activities in the valley.
