Sambuco / Must do

The pretty town is located in a raised position compared to the state road and this helps to make the village the perfect location for those who are looking for a calm and relaxed holiday.
Bersaio Mount (2386 m), a beautiful Dolomite mountain that stands over the village and is its symbol, gives the impression of being inaccessible, at least at the hiking level; in fact, it is easily accessible along a path that, bypassing it, leads to its top and does not present technical difficulties. From the top you can enjoy a spectacular view of Sambuco and of the upper valley.
The council territory consists of many characteristic hamlets – Chiardoletta, Grange Serre, Moriglione to name a few – mostly uninhabited or only inhabited at certain times of the year, which can be visited through a looping itinerary, “the nine hamlets path”, which begins to the left of the Church of the Madonna del Roccasio (follow the sign for “Vallone della Madonna”). Given the exposure to the sun, this itinerary is very often walkable even on winter seasons with poor snow.
